NEWS: Happy Birthday To SnowSphere!

ImageThis month SnowSphere Magazine is officially one year old. In a short 12 months, SnowSphere has come a long way. The site is now packed with informative ski and snowboard travel articles from many peaks of the planet including China, Kazakhstan, Morocco, Spain, Japan, India and Iceland.

We've also got inspiring interviews with the entrepreneurs of the snowbiz world, as well as stories exploring other aspects of snow sports culture, such as the Snowboarder vs Skier feud, the use of recreational drugs on the ski slopes, DIY Snow Making, plus reviews of the more obscure ski and snowboard books and films.

In the mainstream print media SnowSphere is proud to be part of the UK's longest running and biggest snowboard publication - Snowboard UK, with our monthly column "A Line Less Ordinary" which is set to be expanded to a full page next season.

We're also part of the legendary World Snowboard Guide now in its 11th edition, and have provided editorial content for national papers, websites, plus UK and US magazines including The Snowboard Journal, Future Snowboarding, White Lines, Student Traveler, Cross Country Skier, Weatherwise, The Scotsman and SnowJapan.com.

On the web side of things, SnowSphere continues to grow in popularity, with page views and unique hits trebling in the last three months.

We have big plans for 2007. As well as continuing to bring you high quality ski and snowboard literature from the more mysterious peaks of the planet, we'll also be launching a line of t-shirts and hoodies designed by our friends at Baka Inaka Clothing, plus we'll be building even more useful features into the website.

So - a massive thanks to all those who have helped out along the way; writers, designers, advertisers and of course the readers, plus everyone who has supported us and linked to us.

Enjoy the 2007 winter season!

The SnowSphere team
